Vegan Gastronomy at Aromaticus: A Taste of Trastevere

Located at Via Natale Del Grande 6/7 in Trastevere, Aromaticus offers a delightful vegetarian dining experience with an extensive selection of vegan options. On our visits, we enjoyed a variety of dishes that showcased the restaurant’s commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients and innovative flavors.

We started with the Sourdough Focaccia, topped with pea cream, charred cardoncelli, and fermented kumquat. The unique combination of flavors was a great introduction to the meal. Next, we tried the Soba Noodles wok with seasonal veggies and cashews, which was rich and flavorful.

The Tempeh Escalope, served with vegan gravy, sautéed chicory, baby potatoes, and Yorkshire pudding, offered a comforting, homely vibe. The Roasted Broccoli dish, featuring broccoli and tofu cream with tapenade sauce, stood out with its vibrant, unique flavors. The Tempeh Caesar Salad was another hit, combining classic flavors with a vegan twist.

For dessert, we indulged in the Vegan Cashew Cheesecake with red fruit gelée, a perfect ending to our meal. The chef personally took our orders, provided a complimentary vegan cheese starter, and offered local recommendations, making our dining experience even more special.

Overall, Aromaticus combines inventive vegan cuisine with exceptional service, making it a must-visit spot in Rome.
